Exclusivity is only valuable if it is protected. That’s why PRIVATE RESERVE™ places one firm restriction on where protected styles may be sold.
Restricted channels
PRIVATE RESERVE™ styles may not be listed on public online marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart Marketplace, Temu, AliExpress, Wish and TikTok Shop. These platforms are built around price comparison — exactly the dynamic that erodes a protected design’s value for every retailer relying on it.
Approved channels
You remain free to sell through the channels that build your brand:
- Your own e-commerce website.
- Your physical retail store.
- Your social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok content — not TikTok Shop listings).
- Direct customer and in-person sales.
Why this protects you
If one retailer lists a protected design on a global marketplace, it becomes searchable and price-comparable everywhere — undermining the very exclusivity that other retailers secured their territories for. The restriction isn’t about control for its own sake; it keeps the territory protection you’re paying attention to actually worth something. It also aligns with the differentiated-brand strategy in our retailer playbook.
Part of a bigger promise
The marketplace policy is one clause in the broader PRIVATE RESERVE™: The Future of Wholesale Corset Buying program. For how it compares to conventional exclusivity terms, see PRIVATE RESERVE™ vs. traditional exclusivity.
