Using Your Own Corset Pattern: What We Need and How It Works

Some buyers arrive with a pattern already. A silhouette that sells, a fit their customers know, a shape they have refined over years — and a manufacturer who can no longer make it, or never made it well. We can work to your pattern rather than ours.

What to send

At minimum, three reference images: front, side and back. These go up with your order — one image per view, each under 1MB. They do not need to be technical drawings. Clear photographs of an existing garment are usually more useful than a sketch, because they show seam placement, panel count and how the piece actually sits.

If you have a graded pattern file or a spec sheet, send it through your account after submitting and we will work from that instead.

What happens next

Our pattern team reads your references against the size range you have requested and confirms what is buildable as drawn. Where something will not work in production — a panel too narrow to bone, a seam that fights the busk — we tell you before quoting rather than silently changing it.

Your references then travel with the order all the way to the factory floor. The production team sees your pattern images and the fabric swatch together on the packing documentation, so nobody is working from a description.

Why the minimum is 30

A supplied pattern has to be digitised, graded across your sizes and test-cut before the production lay can be marked. That is real work, and we absorb it into the run rather than billing it as a development charge. Thirty pieces per fabric is where that prices sensibly. Using our existing patterns, the minimum stays at 20.

Who owns the pattern

You do. A pattern you supply is manufactured for you and is not added to our catalogue or offered to other buyers.

What it does not cover

This is manufacturing to an existing design, not design development. If you want a silhouette created from scratch, that is a different conversation — open a support ticket from your account and describe what you are after.
